This Privacy Policy explains how We Find Your Insurance LLC ("We Find Your Insurance," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit wefindyourinsurance.com (the "Site"), request an insurance quote, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services. We Find Your Insurance is an independent insurance broker that represents multiple insurance carriers; we are not an insurance company and do not underwrite or issue insurance policies. Licensed insurance activity is conducted by Joseph Antonucci, a licensed insurance producer in the State of Connecticut (National Producer Number (NPN) 21658409). We place coverage in Connecticut, California, and other states where we are licensed and appointed.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information we receive from third parties such as insurance carriers.

Identity & Underwriting Information

When you request a quote, apply for coverage, or enroll in a policy, we may collect information needed to obtain quotes and process applications, including:

  • Name, date of birth, gender, and mailing/residential address;
  • Social Security Number (SSN), where required by a carrier for underwriting or identity verification;
  • Health information (such as medical history, tobacco use, height/weight, and conditions) used for insurance underwriting;
  • Financial information (such as income, assets, and existing coverage) used for suitability and underwriting;
  • Beneficiary and dependent information you choose to provide.

Contact Information

Email address, telephone number(s), and any other contact details you submit through our quote forms, contact forms, or scheduling tools.

Communications (Including SMS)

When you call, email, text, chat, or schedule an appointment with us, we collect the content of those communications and related records (such as the date, time, and phone number). If you opt in to receive text messages, we collect your mobile number and your consent record. See Section 10 (SMS/Text Messaging) for details on consent and opting out.

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and settings, device and operating-system information, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies. See Section 11 (Cookies & Analytics) and our Cookie Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide insurance quotes, comparisons, and coverage recommendations;
  • Submit applications to insurance carriers and support policy enrollment and servicing;
  • Verify your identity and prevent fraud;
  • Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your requests, quotes, and coverage — including by phone, email, and (with your consent) text message;
  • Schedule and manage appointments;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services;
  • Measure Site performance and understand how visitors use the Site;
  • Send administrative and, where permitted, marketing communications (from which you may opt out); and
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, insurance-licensing, and recordkeeping obligations.

We process personal information for the purposes described above. Depending on the context, we rely on one or more of the following bases: your consent (for example, marketing texts and non-essential cookies); the performance of a service you request (such as obtaining a quote or submitting an application); our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business; and compliance with legal obligations, including insurance and financial-privacy laws. We do not process your information for purposes that are incompatible with those for which it was collected without providing notice or obtaining consent where required.

4. How and With Whom We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below.

Insurance Carriers & Underwriters

To obtain quotes, submit applications, and place coverage, we share the information you provide with the insurance carriers we represent and their underwriters. Those carriers process your information under their own privacy policies. Final rates and coverage decisions are determined by carrier underwriting.

Service Providers & Processors

We use trusted vendors that process personal information on our behalf and under contract, limited to the purposes of providing services to us. Depending on the tools in use, these may include:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • Website analytics and traffic-measurement providers (for example, Google Analytics and/or other analytics tools we may enable);
  • Appointment-scheduling providers;
  • Web-form and lead-capture providers;
  • On-site opt-in and conversion-form providers; and
  • Our email and customer-relationship-management (CRM) providers — communications, lead management, and recordkeeping.

The providers we currently use include our website host, our analytics providers (Google Analytics, delivered through the MonsterInsights plugin, and Jetpack Stats by Automattic), our appointment-scheduling provider (Calendly), our web-form provider (WPForms), and our on-site opt-in and campaign provider (OptinMonster). The specific providers we use may change from time to time, and additional or replacement providers may be engaged under similar contractual protections.

We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or governmental request; to comply with insurance-regulatory and recordkeeping obligations; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, our business, or others.

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the commitments in this Policy.

Our Site and communications may contain links to, or embeds from, third-party websites and tools (for example, insurance-carrier portals and our scheduling provider). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of those third parties, and this Policy does not apply to their sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing information to it.

5. "We Do Not Sell" and the CCPA/CPRA "Share" Nuance

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), certain uses of advertising and analytics cookies can be treated as a "sale" or "share" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even when no money changes hands. Where advertising or measurement pixels are enabled on the Site, this may constitute "sharing" under that definition. You can opt out of this activity at any time using the controls described in Section 12 (Your Privacy Rights), including a browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we recognize and honor as a legally valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA and the CCPA Regulations (Cal. Code Regs. tit. 11, § 7025) and applicable state privacy law.

6. Financial Privacy (GLBA) & Insurance Data

Because we help you obtain insurance products, some of the information we handle is "nonpublic personal information" protected under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and applicable state insurance-privacy laws. We collect this information to serve you and to place and service coverage, and we share it with carriers, underwriters, and service providers only as needed for those purposes or as permitted or required by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect this information, and we limit access to those who need it to do their jobs. We handle information governed by GLBA and insurance-privacy laws consistently with the requirements of those laws.

7. Sensitive Information (Including Health Data)

Insurance underwriting may require sensitive information, including health information, your SSN, and financial details. We collect sensitive information only for the purposes of providing the quotes, applications, and services you request, verifying your identity, and meeting legal obligations — not to infer characteristics about you for advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted under applicable law, and California residents may direct us to limit the use of their sensitive personal information as described in Section 12. Access to sensitive information is restricted to authorized personnel and carriers involved in your request.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your records, and comply with our legal, insurance-regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Insurance-related and financial records are retained for the maximum period required or permitted under applicable insurance, financial-recordkeeping, tax, and other laws — and for any additional period reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims — after which we delete or de-identify them. Automatically collected analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics tools described in Section 11 and our Cookie Policy.

9. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk and to help protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit using industry-standard TLS, access controls that limit information to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and ongoing monitoring of our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. SMS / Text Messaging Consent (TCPA)

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages related to your quotes, appointments, and coverage, and — where you have provided the consent required by applicable law — marketing messages, consistent with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable law. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

11. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic and performance, and — where enabled — support advertising. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know / Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
  • Delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions (including insurance-recordkeeping obligations);
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the services you request; and
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of "sale" or "sharing," you may use our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism, contact us using the details in Section 16, or enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we recognize and honor as a legally valid opt-out under the CCPA/CPRA (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.135; Cal. Code Regs. tit. 11, § 7025) and applicable state law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require the agent to demonstrate authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Other U.S. State Residents (Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others)

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights, including the rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal information. As required by these laws, including the Colorado Privacy Act and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, we recognize and honor universal opt-out preference signals such as GPC. To exercise these rights, use the contact details in Section 16. If we deny a request, you may have the right to appeal by replying to our decision; where available, you may also contact your state attorney general.

13. How to Exercise Your Rights (Verification & Timelines)

To exercise any of the rights above, contact us using the details in Section 16. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, which may include confirming information we already have on file. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law — generally within 45 days, with the possibility of an extension where permitted, after notifying you. There is no charge to submit a request, though we may charge a reasonable fee or decline requests that are excessive or manifestly unfounded, as permitted by law.

14. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us using the details in Section 16.

15. U.S.-Only Services

Our services are intended for residents of the United States, and information is primarily intended for Connecticut residents. We do not direct our services to individuals outside the United States, and personal information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
